Which ChatGPT plan should I choose?
Start with Plus if you use ChatGPT most days — it is the standard paid tier. Choose Go only if the budget matters more than the full feature set, and move to Pro 5x or 20x only when you actually run into usage limits during a normal week. Business is for teams that need admin controls.
What is the difference between Pro 5x and Pro 20x?
Both are Pro tiers with higher usage limits than Plus; 20x is the larger of the two. If you hit the 5x ceiling regularly — long agent sessions, heavy coding or research days — go 20x. Otherwise 5x is the right stop.
Can I top up a free account directly to a paid plan?
Yes. A direct top-up takes your own account — free or previously subscribed — and applies the paid plan to it. You do not need to cancel anything first, and if a conflict with an existing subscription appears, support fixes it or refunds in full the same day.
Do I need to share my password to top up?
